Rice has been part of the Asian way of life for thousands of years. In contrast to Western meals where wheat-based products and animal protein is considered the main dish, rice is the very starch in many parts of Asia. In China, a man who’s lost his job is said to have had his rice bowl broken; Gohan, the Japanese word for "rice," also means "meal”.

Rice can be a surprisingly versatile basic food. It is boiled, steamed, fried, and cooked either on its own or with the additional of curry, coconut milk, spices and herbs. Wow your patrons by giving this classic staple food an Asian-inspired culinary fancy!
