Baked Squash

Squash is good for people who do not have a strong foundation. It is like the elixir of life because it is rich in vitamins A, B, C and more. Therefore, it is good to eat it in the winter, as it supplies extra nutrition for the cold weather. Squash is particularly recommended for people suffering from diabetes, are overweight, recovering from an illness, and it also helps to prevent high blood pressure.  

Ingredients:  

1 squash 
2 tablespoons vegetable oil  
 

Hot Sauce:
1 teaspoon red bean paste
1 tablespoon vinegar  
1 tablespoon light corn syrup 
¼ teaspoon sesame oil 
½ teaspoon sesame seeds  

* Korean red paste, gochujang, is a dark red, spicy paste made from fermented soybeans and red pepper. It is used to season stews and soups. Once opened, it keeps well in the fridge for at least a year.   

Method:
Mix hot sauce ingredients together. Slice the Squash into rounds, 1/4-inch thick. Fry briefly in the vegetable oil. Sprinkle hot sauce between each layer.
