Trade Shows: Asian Food Show to Debut on West Coast, Expands to Two Locations in 2005

All Asia Food Expo, the nation’s premier trade event featuring Asian food and beverage products for both retail and foodservice outlets, will be making its West Coast debut at the Los Angeles convention Center October 9th and 10th, 2005. The trade show will include exhibitors from throughout Asia and the United States who will be showcasing hundreds of foods and beverages such as sauces, noodles, rice, spices, snacks, fruits, and vegetables, prepared foods, curries, kimchi and beverages. The first annual East Coast version of All Asia Food Expo took place October 2004, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The show drew exhibitors from the Far East, Southeast Asia and Indian subcontinent and thou-sands of trade buyers. “Los Angeles is an ideal location for All Asia Food Expo,” according to Brian Randall, VP of Ethnic Foods at Diversified Business Communications. “At 4.2 mil-lion, California has the largest population of Asian Americans in the United States, creating a huge demand for authentic Asian foods, beverages and ingredients. Hundreds of Asian food companies have their U.S. headquarters in Southern California because of its proximity to the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.” The show will also be produced at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City September 12th and 13th. Both shows will be co-sponsored by Asian Restaurant News and Chinese Restaurant News.
