Steamed Chicken with Chinese Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients :

1/2 kg Chicken meat

4 Chinese dried mushrooms, soaked

2 slices Ginger root, peeled

1 teaspoon Salt

1 tablespoon Red wine or sherry

1 teaspoon Sugar

1 teaspoon Cornflour

1 teaspoon Sesame seed oil

Method :

Use the breasts and thighs of a very young chicken.

Cut into small pieces and mix with salt, rice wine or sherry, sugar and cornflour.

Thinly shred the mushrooms and ginger root.

Grease a heat-proof plate with a little oil or lard.

Place the chicken pieces on it with the mushrooms and ginger root shreds on top.

Add ground pepper and all the sesame seed oil.

Steam vigorously for 20 minutes.

Serve hot.
